Communities of Faith

Responding to Our Brothers and Sisters in Need

What does the Lord require of you but to do justice, and to love kindness, and to walk humbly with your God? ~ Micah 6:8

As communities of faith, we are called upon to help people who live on the margins of society.  We seek to help our brothers and sisters break the bonds of poverty to become more self-sufficient. The Jewish-Christian traditions of faith emphasize the importance of taking action on behalf of the vulnerable.

Pray

Remember those who have so little and struggle to make it through each day. Pray that they may grow through a caring and compassionate community.

Act

Volunteer at one of ECSM’s programs. There are many different opportunities available either on a one-time basis or as a long-term commitment.

Advocate

Give voice to people who are often not heard. Speak out on behalf of issues that help move people out of poverty. ECSM’s advocacy issues are aligned with our mission to support affordable housing, education, universal access to healthcare and services to help people as they are released from prison.

Contribute

Your financial support will help underwrite the costs associated with ECSM’s operating and program costs. All of our services are free; we do not charge our program participants any fees.
